Category: Zone BBS Suggestions and Feedback
hello everyone. I would like to introduce a problem to you which related to a game on this site. the problem is with the game of pick 3. this game has many disadvantages. first it is very hard to win points in this game. second it is just once in an hour. and third is that your chances to win are very poor and low. I have a suggestion to organize a group of people. we will write to the site's admins and they will have to change the rules of pick3 so we will have more fun while playing it. join to me at this group!!!
Yarden_lre
okay, here are my thaughts on pick 3.
1: it's only once an hour
2: most of the time, there are 0 entries so i don't think a number should be drawn. who wants to read, no winners out of 0 entries, that's obvious
3: why not get to pick 3 diffrent numbers, insted of 1 3 digit number. that's why they thaught of the name pick 3. if notm, why not just change it to zone lottery?
4: how about making it like kino, where people can play it when they want, and they don't have alerts ever hour, just to say no one one.
5: i will join you yarden, of course
With regard to playing numbers on Pick3, I'd just like to point out to you that you can have as many numbers as you like for each draw, just put a space between them. You will be deducted points for each number you have. Hope this helps
i agree it needs reviewing but changing too much will not make an inprovement we have a game which is almost the same as you wish to change pick3 to, I think the chances of winning should be rejuced and a change to noteafacations in two ways, it don't inform you 0 out of 0 entrys it should have a simple message no entrys this round and users should be given the option as they do now with log outs and ins. that would make the game more intresting changing it too much will have a bad effect
Love a protest march. But, I don't think any kind of protest will accomplish anything except get your zone privlidges curtailed. It's the admin's zone, his game and his points. So, fat chance.
Also, it's just a game. You don't have to play it if you don't want to. It costs a meesly 5 points and the payoff is usually pretty high.
The major complaint seems to be the anouncement of no winner, and that's just a brief message that you can read in a split second.
So, what's the phrase I'm thinking of? Oh yes, "tempest in a teapot."
Bob
I'm thinking of another phrase, actually a couple of them.
First, get a life.
Second, find something more important to cry about.
It's just a game, and if you want more points, play one of the games that yields more points. Do you play your state lottery and then whine to the lottery commission that you can't win?
and about the once an hourthing, it's a bloody lottery. It ain't spozed to be easy yall.
Well, of everything that was written in the first two posts of this thread only iternity's suggestion of not doing a draw unless at least one ticket has been bought made any sense to me. The rest of it is just silly. Of course it is hard to win. It's a lottery. Lotteries are supposed to be hard to win. As it is Jay has already made the game easier to win by reducing the number of numbers you pick from.
By the way, the game is called pick 3 because you pick 3 digit numbers. It has nothing to do with how many tickets you buy. For the record, as Mel already pointed out, if you so desired, you could by more than one ticket. In fact you could even buy all the tickets thus ensuring that you win which when you think about it, even means that you're both quite wrong to say that it is hard to win at.
I definitely like the idea of no draw being made though unless a ticket has been bought. That at least did make a lot of sense.
Dan.
Dan, Genius J baught all 500 tickets last week one day, we know because he kept screwing up and posting lists of numbers in public qn. lol
Now, that is funny. I was just going to try to figure out whether the payoff would be worth the cost of buying all the tickets.
Wonder if you could write a script or something to do it for you.
Hmmmm.
Bob
I've read all this board, and I hate to say it, but Yarden, they all have a point. If ya don't want to play the damb game, don't! I myself have never played it, through choice! and probablly never will. Protesting the game and how it's run, isn't worth it, cause you'll only get yourself and thoes that follow you in trouble. I do agree on one thing though, and that is, that it's pointless putting up the hourly message, if nobody baught any tickets for that round.
I've bought all the tickets twice. lol, and you only want to do it if you don't mind losing 5000 points, so just make sure that it's worth it in the end
now only 2500 points to buy them all.
Now we're getting somewhere. Let's have a pick1 where you pick a number from 0 to 9, costing 1 point each time you play, paying millions of points. Now that's a lottery I might play.
Bob
Here's an even better idea. How about just giving everyone all the points they want without making them do anything to earn them. *sarcastic smile*
lol bob.

good idea.
hmmm, i wonder what happens if someone gets the same winning number of someone else?
are the points split or something
if someone buys 100, i think it should only be for that person. noone else can pick that number
It's not money, so why not give everyone who wins the advertised points.
That's just like asking the lottery people to give you all the money if you won on a particular night...when more than one person got the same amount of money. If that happened, lotto would be broke. Plus, it would be no fun playing the games if you didn't have to do anything to get the points.
That's the point though (no pun intended),
there is a finite supply of money.
But, when points are given out here on the zone, it doesn't come out of a finite supply of points, it's just added to the total number of points given out here.
If they gave us all a million points, we wouldn't be any richer, we'd just all have more points.
Bob
slight change now if there is no tickets sold, there's no drawing. Also, the pot doesn't go up.
That makes sense. I assume that if there is no drawing then there is no anouncement, correct?
Wish the points would go up anyway, but, I'm just greedy; this makes sense.
Thanks.
Bob
still an announcement for now, so people don't forget.
